THAMES CINEMATIC SURVEY

The Thames Estuary: cinematic survey is an exploration of a traditional tracking shot in cinema, and its ability to create a reading or survey of a site, and what type of value that reading creates. The terrain is unstable, yet the image glides unhindered through space. Textual details of the site are captured, but the image witholds any other type of access. This visualization is juxtaposed with other registers of the same site: biochemical and lidar.
